A Coney Island life Essay (Individual)

Life is like a carnival. Full of fun adventures on the way, but filled with sadness and disappointment as well.Knowing that you have to achieve your goals until the ride stops. "A Coney Island Life" by James L. Weil is a poem that compares life to a carnival. Life is like a roller coaster with ups and downs but you have to push through to get to the end. Knowing that "life is like a roller coaster with ups and downs but you have to push through to get to the end" the poem states that "now arms filled with dolls I threw so much more". This line in the poem means that he pushed through all the hard times to achieve his goals and more. Focusing on what he wanted in life and not let anything stop him. Another line from the poem is that "seen my helium hopes break skyward without me". This line from the poem means that the helium hopes are balloons. He just let all his hopes and dreams drift away leaving him behind. The poem also states that "I have to catch the brass- ring sun before the game is up". He is trying to say that you have to keep reaching for your goals before you looses them in an instant. Life is like a carnival. filled with adventure and joy, but full of sadness and disappointments. Life is like a roller coaster you have to keep preserving to achieve your goals.
